The expansion is part of the brand’s massive national growth push, which includes more than 180 new U.S. stores opening this year alone. In Colorado, Aldi expects to launch up to 50 locations within its first two years, supported by a new regional distribution center planned for Aurora in 2029—one of three new facilities the company is building nationwide, alongside hubs in Florida and Arizona.

The move is backed by a $9 billion, five-year investment aimed at growing Aldi’s U.S. footprint to 3,200 stores by 2028. Known for compact layouts, private-label products, and consistently low pricing, Aldi now reaches roughly one in three American households each year.

Colorado joins a broader expansion that also targets Maine, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and the Southeast.
