Aman is officially coming to South Korea, and it has chosen the most expensive spot in all of Seoul to do it.
The new 38-story hotel, residence, and private-club tower will rise on a roughly 70,000-square-meter site in Cheongdam-dong, the Gangnam district that functions as the city's Beverly Hills, with the Han River in front of it and Seongsu-dong across the water. It is Aman's first property in the country, and it is slated to open in 2030.

The building runs eight levels below ground and 38 above, stacking a hotel beneath a limited collection of 49 branded residences, with retail and cultural space threaded through the base. An Aman Spa and wellness facility, Aman dining concepts and an Aman Club, the brand's members-only community with its own pool, fitness center and lounge, fill out a program Aman describes as an urban sanctuary: a retreat above the city that stays connected to the energy of contemporary Seoul rather than sealing itself off from it.
"Aman Seoul will be more than a hotel development, it will set a new milestone for Seoul's high-end lifestyle."
The tower rises on land long occupied by the Hotel Prima, a few minutes' walk from the flagship boutiques that make Cheongdam the epicenter of Seoul's luxury retail, and the design leans on that context.
Seoul is the brand's fourth city hotel, after Aman Tokyo, Aman New York and Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, and it joins a pipeline that already includes Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Miami Beach, Aman Dubai and Aman Aspen, a standalone Aman Residences Tokyo, and Aman Singapore, set to occupy the city's tallest tower. Sister brand Janu is stretching too, with its first hotel and branded residences in the Middle East now announced. For a brand that spent its first three decades almost entirely in remote places, that list now reads as a map of the cities it has decided matter most.
