Aman has found its address in Singapore, and it's the highest one in the country. The brand is taking the crown of The Skywaters, a 1,000+ foot, 63-story tower currently rising that will become Singapore's first supertall skyscraper.

In 2023, the city tore down the 52-story AXA Tower to make room for it — the tallest building anywhere ever voluntarily demolished.

The tower is a joint venture between Perennial Holdings and Alibaba, with architecture by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Aman's floors are a separate commission.

Kerry Hill Architects, the firm Aman keeps calling back, took its cues from Singapore's black-and-white colonial bungalows: deep proportions, natural materials, the kind of restraint the brand has built its name on since its first hotel opened in Phuket in 1988. Aman now runs 35+ properties across more than 20 destinations. This will be its first in Singapore.

Aman Singapore will sit on floors 24 through 26, anchored by a spa that takes up an entire floor around an infinity pool. Climb higher and the branded residences will begin on floors 28 through 30, one- to five-bedroom homes looking out over the city.

Near the summit, floors 56 to 63 hold fewer than 30 Sky Villas, each over 18,000 square feet, some with private pools and their own wellness rooms.

Perennial's chairman, Pua Seck Guan, says construction has already cleared a third of the tower's final height. The Skywaters is targeting completion in 2028; Aman hasn't set a separate date for its own opening. But when the doors do open, Aman won't just have an address in Singapore. It'll have the highest one there is.
