Aman unveils ranch resort and residences in Texas Hill Country

Aman has just unveiled Amansanu, a massive new ranch-scale resort and residential destination set across the raw, rolling terrain of Texas Hill Country.
Set roughly 90 minutes from Austin, the project drops Aman into a completely new type of landscape—wide-open valleys, limestone cliffs, and creek-lined terrain—while introducing the brand’s first-ever ranch concept in the United States. This isn’t a compact resort tucked into a single footprint; Amansanu is spread across a vast stretch of land, with pavilion-style suites and a limited collection of residences positioned for total privacy and long-range views.
Architecture by Olson Kundig leans heavily into the terrain, with low-slung structures that follow the land instead of sitting on top of it. Residences are planned on oversized parcels—some reaching around 10 acres—designed with open layouts, natural materials, and seamless indoor-outdoor living that pulls the landscape directly into each space.
The heart of the project is anchored by a central lodge, multiple dining venues, and a large Aman Spa set along a natural creek, but what separates this from anything Aman has done before is how much of the experience is built into the land itself. Trails, racquet sports, and a fully serviced equestrian program with stables and horseback riding push the concept beyond a traditional resort into something closer to a full-scale destination.
Amansanu joins Aman’s growing U.S. footprint alongside Amangiri, Amangani, and Aman New York, but stands apart in both scale and concept—marking one of the brand’s most ambitious moves yet as it expands deeper into the American landscape.
No timeline has been announced, but the combination of land, scale, and Aman’s design approach puts Amansanu firmly among the most significant resort developments now taking shape in Texas.
