For the first time in its nearly century-long history, the Rockefeller Center is getting a hotel, and it comes from Aspen's legendary The Little Nell.
In Fall 2027, The Nell New York will debut inside 10 Rockefeller Plaza as the first and only hotel ever located within the landmark, a more than $350 million transformation of former office floors into a 134-room retreat suspended above the complex's plazas and rooftop gardens, overlooking one of the most recognizable addresses on earth.

The Nell New York marks the flagship of Nell Hotels, the newly launched luxury collection by Aspen Hospitality built around The Little Nell — Aspen's only Five-Star, Five-Diamond hotel and the ski-in, ski-out institution that has anchored the base of Aspen Mountain for more than three decades.
The Nell New York will also become the only hotel in New York City affiliated with Relais & Châteaux — the prestigious fellowship of independently owned luxury hotels and restaurants prized for their local character and exceptional service — earning a seat at a table of 580 properties across 65 countries the moment it opens.
Guests will check in on the seventh floor, then the program climbs from there through all-day dining, a lobby bar, a spa, and a wine lounge importing The Little Nell's revered cellar to New York, cresting at a signature fine-dining restaurant on the 17th floor. Rockwell Group — the studio behind some of the city's most theatrical interiors — is designing the rooms and public spaces to converse with the complex's Art Deco grandeur, with SLCE Architects as architect of record. An art collection spanning emerging talents and internationally recognized names runs throughout, picking up the thread of a center that has always doubled as a canvas for public art.
Back in Colorado, The Little Nell will close in April 2027 for a top-to-bottom reimagination and reopen for the 2027–2028 ski season, while its Wedding Deck and the Residences at The Little Nell keep running through the work.
