Cartier opens its new Palm Beach flagship at The Royal Poinciana

Cartier has officially opened a permanent boutique in Palm Beach, establishing a new flagship presence inside the historic Royal Poinciana Plaza—just steps from where the Maison first debuted a seasonal boutique more than a century ago in 1924. Located at 70 Royal Poinciana Plaza, the new space marks a full-circle moment for Cartier in a destination long associated with refinement, discretion, and coastal elegance.

Set within the preserved façade of the former Royal Poinciana Playhouse, the boutique carefully integrates Palm Beach history with Cartier’s signature design language. Originally designed in 1958 by acclaimed architect John Volk, the Regency Revival–style playhouse has been meticulously stewarded by the Landmarks Preservation Commission, with original architectural elements—including a sculptural crown of Italian statues representing the four seasons—remaining intact.

The Royal Poinciana Playhouse also houses the highly-anticipated Glazer Hall, Palm Beach’s first new nonprofit arts organization in more than 60 years and its only waterfront performing arts venue, bringing year-round music, theater, film, and cultural programming to the landmarked space.

Inside, Cartier echoes the building’s legacy through refined Regency references, from ornate wrought iron detailing and classical friezes to shuttered forms and arched windows dressed in ombré curtains woven on traditional hand looms.

The interiors are fully reimagined through the lens of Palm Beach’s waterfront setting, featuring soaring 17-foot ceilings, sun-washed gold tones, hand-painted gradients, and textured reliefs inspired by native foliage. Murano glass sconces shaped like seashells and palm leaves, alongside warm wood flooring, subtly reference the area’s maritime heritage while aligning with motifs seen throughout Cartier’s collections.

The boutique presents the full range of Cartier creations, including jewelry, high jewelry, timepieces, leather goods, fragrance, and accessories, with an emphasis on personalized service and discovery. The Palm Beach boutique is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
