Cipriani Residences Miami has officially completed its 80-story climb, reaching 950 feet on July 15, and becoming the tallest residential building south of New York City.
The milestone arrives roughly two and a half years after Mast Capital broke ground in February 2024, backed by a $600 million construction loan that stood at the time as the largest condominium construction loan in Florida's history. The tower now runs the full height of the Brickell skyline it will anchor, with completion and first occupancy expected in summer 2027.
The project marks the Cipriani family's first-ever ground-up residential development anywhere in the world, a hospitality legacy that began at Harry's Bar in Venice into 397 homes with services run to the brand's standard. Arquitectonica, the Miami firm behind much of the city's contemporary skyline, designed the tower's exterior, with 1508 London handling the interiors.
More than 80% of the tower's residences are sold a full year ahead of opening, with purchasers hailing from more than 30 countries, a spread that mirrors Brickell's evolution into a genuinely international address.
The 950-foot crown places Cipriani Residences above every residential tower between Manhattan and Biscayne Bay, and it rises as one landmark in a Brickell skyline being remade tower by tower, part of a residential pipeline that keeps pushing the neighborhood higher and its buyer pool wider. The 1,049-foot Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami, the supertall under construction downtown, will eventually take the height record, a succession that reads as proof of how fast Miami's residential transformation is compounding, with records set and surpassed by a development wave already well underway.
Facade work, interiors, and amenity build-out carry the project toward its summer 2027 debut, when the first residents move into the Cipriani name's first purpose-built home.
