Europe’s celebrated La Salière opens its first U.S. location in downtown Naples

From Monte-Carlo to Naples, one of Europe’s most celebrated Italian restaurants, La Salière, has arrived on Florida’s Gulf Coast—known for its refined simplicity, handmade pastas, and a warm, convivial spirit that has drawn locals and international guests alike. Its first U.S. location in Naples brings that same heritage and authenticity stateside, establishing a new destination for fine Italian dining in Southwest Florida.

Rooted in a family culinary legacy dating back to 1720 with La Sibilla restaurant in Tivoli, La Salière’s story is as much about craftsmanship as it is about connection. The restaurant’s name pays homage to Benvenuto Cellini’s renowned salt cellar, “La Salière,” a Renaissance masterpiece symbolizing the balance between Earth and Sea—an idea reflected in both its menu and design. The olive tree in its logo, representing peace and Mediterranean roots, captures the spirit of gathering and timeless hospitality that defines the brand.

Thoughtfully guided by the signature recipes and culinary philosophy of Executive Chef Sabato Toscano, who has shaped the Monte-Carlo kitchen for nearly 30 years and continues to inspire the restaurant’s timeless offerings—blending traditional Italian techniques with the freshness of Florida’s coastal ingredients. “Every dish honors the flavors of Italy while embracing the vibrancy of the Gulf,” said Toscano. “It’s a true meeting of Mediterranean inspiration and Naples’ own culinary rhythm.”

The 2,600-square-foot space captures the ambiance of an Italian villa by the sea, with cascading bougainvillea framing its entrance and interiors filled with soft drapes, candlelight, and lush greenery. White tables, deep blue banquettes, and a striking tiled bar lined with velvet high chairs set a relaxed yet elegant tone, while string lights and lanterns add a touch of Riviera romance.

La Salière’s menu emphasizes tradition and togetherness, inviting guests to share handmade pastas, wood-fired pinsa romana, vibrant salads, and classic entrées. Signature dishes include Polpette, Cuore di Carciofo, Polipo alla Griglia, Maltagliati Veal Ragù, Ossobuco alla Milanese, Fiorentina alla Toscana, and Branzino al Sale—paired with an extensive Italian wine list and cocktails inspired by the Mediterranean coast.

True to its heritage, La Salière Naples is designed not just as a restaurant, but as a gathering place—where long dinners unfold naturally, and every meal feels like a return to the Riviera.
