Hyatt’s lifestyle portfolio just made its Florida debut in striking fashion. The newly opened Andaz Miami Beach has transformed the historic Confidante property into a Mediterranean-inspired waterfront resort, bringing upscale energy and refined coastal living to the quieter, more curated stretch of Mid-Beach.

Set between the vibrance of South Beach and the calm of the residential north, the 287-room resort includes 64 suites, private beach access, two ocean-facing pools, and three new dining concepts from the José Andrés Group. It's the first Andaz to open since Hyatt launched its dedicated Lifestyle Group, and the property blends relaxed luxury with immersive design that leans into the site’s 1930s legacy and Miami’s iconic Art Deco palette.

Designed by EoA Group in collaboration with Hyatt’s in-house team, the interiors are awash in soft turquoise and mint tones, with curving silhouettes that echo the movement of the sea. The elevated open-air lobby offers immediate ocean views—and in signature Andaz fashion, check-in is replaced with a seated cocktail welcome and a Balearic-meets-Cuban music mix.

Guestrooms feature airy terraces and sea-inspired details, while spacious suites add soaking tubs, flexible connecting layouts, and cozy dining nooks for long stays or group getaways. Ten cabanas line the dual pools, and a stretch of private beachfront is reserved for hotel guests. Later this summer, the resort’s original beach house will debut as a members-only club.

The culinary programming is led by chef José Andrés, with three distinct concepts anchoring the experience:
Aguasal: A breezy coastal destination drawing from Mallorca and Mykonos, serving Mediterranean fare by day and evolving into a stylish evening escape.
Bar Centro: A casual, all-day spot for tapas, sandwiches, and cocktails, open from beachside mornings to late-night gatherings.
The Bazaar: The iconic José Andrés concept will return to Miami in 2026 with a fresh take on his globally celebrated techniques.

Andaz Miami Beach also introduces Ondara Spa, a fourth-floor wellness retreat overlooking the ocean, set to open in June. With a “detox to retox” philosophy, Ondara will offer both pre-party prep and next-day recovery, with touchless therapies and skincare powered by Obagi.

For events, the resort includes 25,000 square feet of flexible space, including oceanfront ballrooms and a standout feature: a pool with a hydraulic floor that can rise to become a solid surface for concerts, runway shows, and large-scale celebrations.

Bookings are now open, marking a new chapter for Mid-Beach and one of Miami’s most compelling new hospitality debuts.
