Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center has completed a $70 million transformation ahead of the downtown hotel's 20th anniversary. The renovation reimagined all 1,100 guestrooms and suites and added new gathering spaces, following the 2018 and 2019 revitalization of its dining venues and public areas.

Led by Valentina Castellon, hospitality interior design leader at DLR Group, the guestrooms follow a "Slow and True" philosophy, layering natural wood and stone, porcelain and vegan leather in tonal colors drawn from Denver's surroundings. Soft green accents reference the Colorado landscape, while under-TV storage, USB-C charging, refined lighting and generous work areas serve the modern traveler. Select rooms add lounge seating angled toward city and mountain views, and redesigned bathrooms bring illuminated mirrors, upgraded vanities, glass-enclosed showers or new bathtubs.

The renovation also introduced Summit Five, an 891-square-foot meeting space on the fifth floor, part of the hotel's 61,600 square feet of event space that includes Denver's largest hotel ballroom and 41 meeting rooms. It opens onto the Denver City Terrace, an outdoor venue with city views, letting receptions and social events flow between the two.

Roughly 90 percent of the furniture, mattresses, lighting and artwork from the previous guestrooms were resold and diverted from landfills, while new shower pans were made from recycled materials, each composed of about 450 plastic bottles, for nearly half a million reused in total. The full reconstruction of guestrooms, corridors and elevator landings was completed in 14 months with the hotel fully operational, carried out with vendors including DLR Group, Artaic Group, Benjamin West and Milender White.

The 37-story hotel's 58 suites offer views of downtown Denver or the Rocky Mountains, alongside a 24-hour gym, indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and Spa Juniper, its boutique spa. Dining spans Former Saint Craft Kitchen and Taps, Peaks Lounge and Assembly Hall Bar + Market.
