Key International, headed by co-presidents Inigo and Diego Ardid, has unveiled designs for transforming their property at 848 Brickell Avenue into a 50-story office tower. Located in Miami's Financial District, the new edifice aims to set a new standard in Class-A office spaces. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), an architectural firm globally recognized for designing landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and One World Trade Center, has been commissioned for the project.
The tower's location is strategically positioned in Miami's desirable Brickell neighborhood, close to the Brickell City Center and various high-quality dining and retail options. The building's height is expected to reach approximately 761 feet.
Diego Ardid, co-president of Key International, notes that the new 848 Brickell aims to exceed national expectations for Class-A office spaces. He emphasized that the building will offer not just architectural innovation but also unmatched amenities that will redefine the work experience in Miami.
The new tower is designed to meet the growing demand for upscale office spaces in Miami. With 750,000 square feet of office space, the building will provide floor plans that range from 19,000 to 27,000 square feet. These plans are devised to suit a variety of sectors, including law, technology, and finance. The building's floor plates are designed to be adaptable, featuring optimized lease depths and column-free interiors.
Beyond architecture and space, the building is designed with a strong focus on wellness. It aims to follow LEED and WELL rating systems, emphasizing both environmental sustainability and the well-being of its occupants. Features include balconies designed to feel like residential spaces, promoting a connection to the outdoors. The tower will also offer a 40,000-square-foot amenity level that includes outdoor meeting areas, lounges, a top-tier gym, an outdoor walking path, and two regulation-sized Padel courts.
