La Réserve Private Homes Seychelles is now open on the island of Praslin, the brand's first-ever address outside Europe and its first in the Indian Ocean. The hotel takes the form of six private beachfront villas spread across nearly 10 acres of tropical garden at the edge of the Anse Boudin lagoon, each booked like a suite and staffed like an estate.

Between them, the six houses hold 31 bedrooms, every one ensuite and opening onto its own terrace or balcony. Each house sleeps six to 12 guests across 7,481 to 9,472 square feet, counted inside and out. Past the walls, each adds a second kitchen with a barbecue, an outdoor shower, a pool, and a traditional Creole veranda, where life flows between the rooms and the garden.

Valérie Garcia and Kristian Gavoille designed the interiors from what Praslin already had: the pink granite typical of the island, local woods, palm-thatched roofs, and pieces of local furnishings.

The villas come from Michel Reybier Hospitality, the group behind La Réserve Paris, Ramatuelle, Geneva, and Zurich, along with mountain escapes in Interlaken, Zermatt, and Crans-Montana and L'Oscar in London. Every villa has its own maître de maison, housekeeper, and private chef on call. The chef writes a new menu each day from the island's produce, down to herbs cut from the garden. For dinner out, there is Moutya, the beach restaurant facing the sea, which serves the catch of the day in a relaxed room, both covered by the full-board rate, alcohol aside. Spa treatments guided by the expertise of Switzerland's Clinique Nescens are available on request inside the villa, built around sleep, nutrition, and regeneration.

The brand has built the whole address around the Robinson Crusoe myth, the idea of reconnecting with what matters far from screens and noise. Digital disconnection is encouraged, though the choice is left to the guest. A Boat House has also been announced alongside Moutya as the next addition to the estate.
