Lake Nona’s newest destination is taking shape with serious momentum. The highly anticipated Lake Nona West has secured over 300,000 square feet of pre-leased space from major national brands—including Nordstrom Rack, Barnes & Noble, Homesense, Total Wine & More, and Cañonita—joining anchor tenant Target in what’s quickly becoming one of Central Florida’s most dynamic retail developments.

Set to open in Spring 2026, Lake Nona West will span 405,000 square feet across 54 acres along Lake Nona Boulevard near Boggy Creek Road. The open-air district will feature shaded walkways, art-lined plazas, curated greenspaces, and bold architectural storefronts, reflecting Tavistock Development Company’s signature placemaking approach. Known for developing visionary communities like Lake Nona and Pier Sixty-Six, Tavistock has positioned Lake Nona West to serve as both a commercial hub and a social connector in one of Orlando’s fastest-growing regions.

The tenant mix blends national powerhouses with experiential concepts. In addition to major retailers, the center will feature fitness studios, specialty boutiques, and personal service providers, all designed to create a walkable, engaging atmosphere. Confirmed dining anchor Cañonita—a Las Vegas favorite known for its Mexico City-inspired cuisine—will mark its first location in Central Florida, reinforcing Tavistock Restaurant Collection’s ongoing mission to introduce first-to-market culinary experiences that match the energy and sophistication of Lake Nona.
Lake Nona West also reflects the broader innovation-driven identity of the community. A smart and connected 17-square-mile district located adjacent to Orlando International Airport, Lake Nona has earned national attention for integrating technology, wellness, and design into everyday life.

Developed by Tavistock, the community has attracted global leaders across healthcare, life sciences, education, and mobility. Its cultural fabric includes miles of trails, iconic architecture, public art installations, and a year-round schedule of events—elements that are being extended into the retail experience at Lake Nona West.
Sustainability and future mobility are also front and center. In partnership with Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging, the project will feature 20 Level 3 EV chargers capable of delivering up to 400 kW—allowing some vehicles to recharge in about 20 minutes. These chargers are accessible to all EV drivers and build on Lake Nona’s existing network of Level 2 charging stations, enhancing convenience while supporting the area’s eco-conscious values.

The industry has taken note. Lake Nona West was recently named Retail Deal of the Year by NAIOP Central Florida, while CoStar recognized the Target lease as the top Retail Deal of the Spring across the U.S.—a reflection of both Tavistock’s execution and Lake Nona’s rising prominence as a national retail destination.

As Skipper Peek, senior vice president of commercial development at Tavistock, noted, “We couldn’t ask for stronger leasing momentum—it’s a testament to Lake Nona’s regional influence and Tavistock’s long-term vision for place-driven growth.”

With more high-profile tenants expected to be announced soon, Lake Nona West is poised to become the retail centerpiece of one of America’s most forward-thinking communities.
