Mary Lou's unveils its most extravagant Halloween party yet

On November 1, Mary Lou’s—recently named one of the Best Bars in America by USA TODAY—is hosting its most extravagant Halloween experience yet: Dead Sirens Society, a one-night-only gala of submerged excess, surreal spectacle, and hypnotic sound. Held inside a secret warehouse, the evening promises to pull Palm Beach into an immersive current of drowned decadence—where high fashion gets salt-stained, and the dance floor feels infinite.

Commanding the sonic tide are international hitmakers Snakehips, setting the pulse for a night where chaos, couture, and choreography blur beneath the surface. Attendees are encouraged to fully immerse themselves in the night’s aesthetic: pearls undone, silks ruined by the sea, beauty distorted by the undertow.

Since opening its doors in early 2025, Mary Lou’s has redefined the after-dark landscape of Palm Beach. Created by the visionary trio at Mama Hospitality—Alex Melillo, Joe Cervasio, and Topher Grubb—Mary Lou’s merges restaurant, cocktail lounge, and performance art into a single transportive experience. Its speakeasy-style entrance, tucked behind a defunct bait-and-tackle shop, opens into a velvet-drenched wonderland of 1970s glamour, surrealist decor, and spontaneous entertainment.

The venue’s invitation-only launch, titled Black Tie Surrealism, set the tone for its creative ethos: immersive storytelling, maximalist design, and a crowd drawn from fashion, music, and cultural spheres. According to co-founder Alex Melillo, the goal was to create “an escape rooted in joy and curiosity,” reviving the magic of nightlife as both performance and playground.

Mary Lou’s has since become a magnet for A-listers and creatives alike. NBA legend Michael Jordan celebrated his wife’s birthday on-site, a night that went viral after he was filmed dancing to Kendrick Lamar. Nick “Fat Perez” Stubbe, Lorraine Bracco, Stacey Bendet, and Sofi Tukker have all been spotted in the venue’s lush corners—part of a clientele that ranges from artists to athletes to avant-garde fashion royalty.

With momentum showing no signs of slowing, the team expanded Mary Lou’s to Montauk in summer 2025. Rather than duplicate the Palm Beach flagship, the Montauk location reimagines the brand for the East End: a coastal-chic hideaway serving seafood towers by day and transforming into a dreamlike lounge by night. The energy is still unpredictable, the design still transportive—but the atmosphere feels tuned to salt air and moonlight.

As Melillo notes, “There’s a strong crossover between Montauk and South Florida. Our community lives between these places—and we wanted Mary Lou’s to travel with them.”

The Montauk debut has been met with packed tables, sold-out weekends, and a growing following that’s just as design-savvy and nightlife-obsessed as its Florida base.

Dead Sirens Society represents the boldest evolution of the Mary Lou’s experience to date. Part fever dream, part underwater opera, part fashion show gone adrift—it’s not a party you attend. It’s one you surrender to. And once the current has you, there’s no turning back.
