The Miami Marlins have unveiled plans for Miami Live!, an ambitious entertainment development at loanDepot park, created in collaboration with The Cordish Companies. Designed to redefine the ballpark experience, this project will feature a mix of indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment venues, offering year-round community programming for all ages. Beyond enhancing the fan experience, the development aims to foster local connections and generate jobs in sectors such as skilled trades, marketing, sales, and operations.

This initiative underscores the Marlins’ commitment to South Florida, blending modern design with functional open spaces to create a vibrant destination for residents and visitors alike. Miami Live! will serve as a hub for relaxation, socialization, and dynamic activities that strengthen ties within the community.
Bruce Sherman, Chairman and Principal Owner of the Miami Marlins, expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing its potential to transform the West Plaza into a lively gathering spot. “Miami Live! represents our dedication to enhancing the ballpark’s campus with spaces for dining, entertainment, and community engagement,” Sherman noted. “We’re thrilled to partner with The Cordish Companies, renowned leaders in the sports and entertainment industry, to bring this vision to life.”
Caroline O’Connor, Marlins President of Business, highlighted the partnership with The Cordish Companies and Miami-Dade County, calling the project a "significant milestone" for the organization. She emphasized the Marlins' focus on prioritizing fans and neighbors, adding, “This investment reflects our commitment to providing an elevated experience at loanDepot park.”

Local leaders have also praised the initiative. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava celebrated the project’s potential to enhance the region’s reputation as a global hub for sports and entertainment, noting that the privately funded development comes at no cost to taxpayers. Commissioner Eileen Higgins commended the project for bringing new opportunities and vitality to Little Havana, calling it “a welcome addition to the neighborhood.”
The Cordish Companies, known for their expertise in sports-anchored, mixed-use developments, expressed pride in joining the Marlins on this transformative venture. “Miami Live! will become the living room for the community, offering exceptional new amenities and year-round experiences,” said David Cordish, Chairman and CEO of The Cordish Companies.
For more than two decades, The Cordish Companies’ Live! brand has reshaped entertainment across the U.S., with destinations attracting over 60 million annual visitors and earning multiple Urban Land Institute Awards for Excellence. This new project reflects their continued commitment to community revitalization and economic growth.
With sustainability and inclusivity at its core, Miami Live! will incorporate energy-efficient features, accessible pathways, and public art, creating a welcoming and environmentally conscious space for all. The grand opening is slated for early 2026. For updates, visit Marlins.com
