One of Palm Beach’s most storied addresses has officially reopened its doors. The Vineta Hotel is now welcoming guests as the first United States property from Oetker Hotels, marking a defining moment for both the island and the globally respected Masterpiece Collection brand.

Originally built in 1926 as the Lido-Venice and renamed The Vineta just two years later, the property operated under that name for five decades before evolving into The Chesterfield. Now, under the stewardship of Oetker Hotels and its ownership partners, the Reuben Brothers, the 41-room boutique hotel has undergone a meticulous restoration that returns it to its original identity while elevating it for a new era of Palm Beach hospitality.

The architectural revival was led locally by Spina O’Rourke + Partners as Architect of Record, ensuring the preservation of the hotel’s pale-pink Mediterranean Revival façade — a signature presence just two blocks from Worth Avenue and moments from the beach. Inside, Paris-based designer Tino Zervudachi reimagined the interiors with soft coastal palettes, custom furnishings, and airy proportions, reducing the room count from its previous configuration to create 41 spacious guestrooms and suites with a more residential, light-filled feel.

Dining anchors the hotel’s social energy. Coco’s, the signature restaurant, delivers a Mediterranean-inspired menu shaped by Oetker’s European culinary heritage, blending Riviera influences with Palm Beach seasonality. The experience extends from an elegant indoor dining room to a lush courtyard designed for long lunches and candlelit dinners beneath the palms. The adjacent bar and lounge serve as an intimate gathering point, offering curated wines, classic cocktails, and late-evening energy that mirrors the island’s refined social rhythm.

Poolside, a relaxed yet polished dining setting brings indoor-outdoor living to the forefront, reinforcing The Vineta’s role not just as a hotel, but as a lifestyle address for both travelers and Palm Beach regulars.

With sister properties including Le Bristol Paris, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, and Eden Rock – St Barths, Oetker Hotels’ arrival signals a new level of international luxury presence on the island. As its first U.S. Masterpiece Hotel, The Vineta does more than reopen a landmark — it firmly positions Palm Beach within one of the most prestigious hospitality portfolios in the world.
