OKU Hotels debuts first family-friendly resort in Spain

OKU Hotels has officially opened OKU Andalusia, a 255-key retreat nestled between Sotogrande and San Roque along a quiet stretch of southern Spain’s coastline. Marking the brand’s first family-friendly destination, the new resort introduces OKU’s signature approach to slow living, contemporary design, and wellness in a secluded beachfront setting with views across the Mediterranean toward North Africa.

The resort’s architecture follows OKU’s signature low-rise aesthetic, designed to mirror the flow of the surrounding landscape with natural textures and open-air layouts. Accommodations include a mix of guest rooms, suites, and private pool retreats, along with a four-bedroom villa offering added privacy, complete with an ocean-facing terrace for extended gatherings or longer stays.

OKU Andalusia’s wellness program extends well beyond the spa. The resort’s 21,500-square-foot facility includes an indoor pool, thermal suite with steam room and sauna, meditation courtyard, and a state-of-the-art fitness studio. A series of treatment rooms support holistic therapies ranging from CBD-infused massages to targeted skin rituals. Outdoor wellness spaces include a yoga shala and a landscaped garden used for tincture-making and herbal workshops. Guests can also join curated sessions in sound healing, reiki, and energy alignment, or participate in hands-on kitchen garden experiences that center seasonal herbs and adaptogenic remedies. A dedicated sports club with tennis and padel courts further complements the broader wellness offering. For families, the resort’s supervised kids club provides a creative, play-based environment with daily programming tailored to various age groups.

Dining at OKU Andalusia spans four distinct venues. Teyo, the resort’s signature restaurant, presents a fusion of Japanese, Asian, and South American flavors in a refined setting open to both guests and outside visitors. To Kima offers a relaxed poolside experience with an all-day menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes accented by tropical and Asian influences—ideal for sharing from a sun lounger or terrace seat. The Terrace serves casual, seasonal fare throughout the day, while the adults-only Beach Club focuses on seafood-driven plates, cocktails, and sunset views. Together, the venues reflect OKU’s balance of global flavors, fresh ingredients, and regional sourcing.

OKU Andalusia expands the group’s footprint across Europe while remaining closely aligned with the brand’s original vision: to create spaces that offer a refined yet grounded hospitality experience rooted in place. With the addition of its first Spanish resort—and its first family-friendly concept—the brand continues to evolve without losing sight of its core design philosophy.
