An Olympic sprinter turned underground sushi master is about to give Downtown Boca Raton its most ambitious night out yet — a restaurant that starts as a five-star dinner and ends as a members-only after-hours club.
Fletchers is coming to 133 SE Mizner Boulevard this fall, a 3,800-square-foot, 120-seat dining room and lounge that shape-shifts as the evening unfolds. Early on, it reads as an elevated restaurant; later, it slides into a high-energy nightlife scene; and tucked alongside it all sits a separate private membership club for guests who want the quieter, more exclusive corner of the experience.

The kitchen is led by executive chef and co-founder Michael Stember, whose path to Boca runs through both the Olympic track and some of the most sought-after dinner tables in the country. A former Stanford standout, Stember competed in the 1500 meters for the United States at the 2000 Sydney Olympics before trading the track for the kitchen, where he built a cult following with Sushi Belly Tower, an invitation-only pop-up that sold out across major cities worldwide, and later with Ponyboy, his buzzy New American and sushi restaurant in Brooklyn. His cooking fuses Japanese precision with a performance-driven obsession over elite ingredients and decadent presentation.
At Fletchers, that sensibility translates into a menu of new American cuisine threaded with strong Japanese and Mediterranean influences, leaning on fresh, healthy dishes built from high-quality ingredients sourced both locally and globally — timeless classics reimagined with the kind of theater Stember made his name on. The result is pitched squarely at a Boca dining scene hungry for something that blurs the line between a serious meal and a genuine night out.

The concept comes from South Florida entrepreneurs and co-founders Sam Meitus and Jake Marr, two self-described food enthusiasts who saw the city's rapid growth and bet on a void in the market. "Boca Raton is on fire with companies and young professionals flocking here, and we are so inspired by this rapid growth," said Meitus, who lives in West Boca Raton. "A concept like Fletchers is long overdue for Boca Raton; combining elevated dining that transforms into a nightlife experience as the night evolves."
The most exclusive layer is the Fletchers Members Club, a 40-seat private space with its own members' access area, curated amenities, themed evenings, and bespoke benefits designed for guests seeking a more sophisticated, sequestered hangout. "We see a demand from discerning diners in Boca who are looking for a sophisticated sanctuary for members to connect, relax, and enjoy bespoke services," said Marr. "Boca Raton is the perfect locale for our first venture, given its vibrant community and appreciation for luxury."
