Pumphouse Coffee is opening a donut shop. The West Palm Beach roaster, the beans you've almost certainly had at your favorite local restaurant, café, or shop without knowing it, is launching a new concept built around sourdough donuts, with an opening planned for spring 2027. It's a natural next move for a brand that has quietly become the coffee that runs West Palm Beach.

The new spot puts sourdough donuts front and center, backed by an auxiliary menu designed to round out the day. Alongside the donuts and Pumphouse coffee, expect healthy smoothies and scratch-made, made-to-order breakfast and lunch, with the kitchen shifting from hot breakfast sandwiches in the morning to elevated sandwiches in the afternoon. The idea is to keep the emphasis squarely on the donuts while giving adults a reason to order something beyond a sweet treat when they're grabbing a box for the family.
Pumphouse Donuts will open in the Flamingo Park District, the rapidly growing and locally-loved corridor that has become one of West Palm Beach's most exciting dining and lifestyle destinations. Its immediate neighbors on the district's restaurant row read like a who's who of the city's new culinary scene: Emelina, the intimate chef's counter that just became the world's first Cuban restaurant to earn a Michelin star; Steak Shop, the farm-to-table butcher and grocer from the team behind Fern and the soon-to-open Rueshaw; Loot, the organic healthy-choice grocer; and the soon-to-come Midorie, an intimate 20-seat omakase and donburi restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Masayuki, an APM concept from the team behind Ogawa and Emelina.

The detail that elevates the whole concept is the bread. Those afternoon sandwiches will be built on loaves from Bread by Johnny, the local baker who has become something of a legend in Palm Beach kitchens. Johnny's sourdough is the bread some of Palm Beach's best restaurants build on, from Buccan Sandwich Shop to The Breakers and La Goulue.

Bread by Johnny has grown from that reputation into a following of its own, with two shops of its own in Jupiter and West Palm Beach. His breads have built a devoted local base drawn to the craft behind them: the long, patient fermentation, the deep crust, the character that only real sourdough delivers.
The donut shop marks Pumphouse's third West Palm Beach location, following the newest café at 300 Banyan, the Spina O'Rourke + Partners–designed tower downtown, and the flagship Pouratorium roastery and café, alongside its Cones & Coffee spot in Jupiter.

For a brand that has spent years earning its place as a genuine local institution, a sourdough donut concept feels less like a departure than a natural next chapter. Look for it in spring 2027.
