Pier Sixty-Six's next chapter is taking shape. Tavistock Development Company has unveiled Phase II of the Fort Lauderdale waterfront destination — a roughly eight-acre, four-tower expansion that will deliver 339 residences, office space, retail, restaurants, expanded marina facilities, and a wholly new waterfront promenade across the parcels surrounding the recently reopened resort and residential campus at 2301 SE 17th Street.

The four towers will each rise 23 stories to a height of 270 feet, spread across two parcels east of the 17th Street Causeway Bridge. A 1.4-acre parcel on the north side of SE 17th Street will hold one tower — Building A, with 101 residences — while a 6.6-acre parcel to the south will hold three more: Building B with 90 residences, Building C with 75, and Building D with 73. Office space will occupy the second level above each podium, with ground-floor retail and restaurant programming distributed throughout the development. Structured parking, expanded marina facilities, and new pedestrian connections between the north and south sides round out the build.

Phase II picks up where Pier Sixty-Six's first chapter left off. The historic 32-acre waterfront property reopened in January 2025 after a multi-year redevelopment that restored the landmark tower and introduced a 325-room resort, 88 private residences, marina improvements, and a collection of dining, retail, and public waterfront amenities. The new phase extends the campus onto the remaining parcels east of the causeway, continuing the property's transformation beyond the completed resort district.

The waterfront program is the most significant element of the proposal. Tavistock plans to complete and expand the existing promenade and carve out approximately one acre on the south side of the property to create a new water basin — adding marina capacity while increasing the publicly accessible waterfront frontage along the development. The proposal also adds grocery, retail, and dining space, mobility improvements, and opportunities for future public art installations integrated throughout the property.

Another component is a new community gathering space planned beneath the 17th Street bridge, developed in partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale and the Florida Department of Transportation. The space is designed to activate an underutilized area below the bridge while creating an additional public amenity linking both sides of the waterfront development.

With four 23-story towers, 339 residences, expanded marina infrastructure, a continuous waterfront promenade, and a new public basin and bridge plaza, Phase II of Pier Sixty-Six positions the 32-acre Fort Lauderdale property as one of the most ambitious waterfront mixed-use developments on Florida's east coast — and the clearest signal yet that Tavistock is building Pier Sixty-Six into a full destination campus.
