The historic Hotel Danieli has reopened as Danieli, Venezia, a Four Seasons Hotel, following a full restoration of the landmark property on Venice's Riva degli Schiavoni. Overlooking the Venetian Lagoon with views of San Giorgio Maggiore from its rooftop, the reopening marks Four Seasons' fourth property in Italy, operated in partnership with Gruppo Statuto.

The hotel occupies three connected buildings. At its heart is Palazzo Dandolo, built in 1471 as the residence of the noble Dandolo family and one of the city's finest examples of Venetian Gothic architecture, alongside Palazzo Casa Nuova, once home to the Treasury of the Venetian Republic, and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior. Both Palazzo Dandolo and Casa Nuova were renovated by interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.

Rochon's design draws on the Venetian Lagoon, with a palette of celadon greens, soft blues, terracotta, ochre and powder pink that echoes the city's marble façades and plasterwork. Murano glass, terrazzo flooring and bespoke Rubelli textiles run throughout, alongside a curated art collection inspired by the Grand Tour.

The hotel reopens with 120 rooms and suites, a figure set to grow to 168 once the restoration of Palazzo Danieli Excelsior is complete in 2027. Rooms and suites overlook the Lagoon, the canals or the city's rooftops, with more spacious layouts, an expanded collection of Junior and One-Bedroom Suites, and discreetly integrated technology, including a bespoke in-room media wall.

Dining centers on Terrazza Danieli, the rooftop restaurant overlooking the Lagoon, where the redesign trades former dark finishes for soft pastels, azure accents and muted gold. Executive Chef Adriano Rausa presents a contemporary take on Italian cuisine with a Venetian accent, with many signature dishes finished tableside, alongside a bar built around the Italian aperitivo.

The restoration will continue in late 2026 with the opening of the Danieli Spa, featuring three treatment rooms, a sauna and a hammam. The hotel joins Four Seasons' Italian collection alongside its Milan and Florence hotels and San Domenico Palace in Taormina.
