St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has opened The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort, Cancún, a beachfront resort just north of Cancún in the Costa Mujeres enclave. Framed by white-sand beaches, protected mangroves and the world's second-largest barrier reef, the property sits near the El Meco archaeological site and draws on the region's Maya heritage.

Design was led by Mexico City-based architectural firm Sordo Madaleno, with landscape by Maat Handasa. Throughout, stonework references the nearby ancient port of El Meco, while interiors use woven textures, bentwood furnishings, hand-painted murals and brass accents from the Yucatán Peninsula.

Inside are 163 guestrooms and 50 suites, many with private balconies overlooking the Caribbean or the surrounding landscape, including signature suites such as the Caroline Astor and the Presidential Suite. Every stay comes with the St. Regis Butler Service, a brand hallmark since the original St. Regis New York opened in 1904, offering anticipatory, around-the-clock attention from unpacking to bespoke requests.

The property spans nine food and beverage outlets. Costa Coral, the all-day venue, draws on Mexican culinary traditions, while Fish Market focuses on Caribbean seafood and local catch, Palmare Grill on Mexican coastal cuisine, and Shami, a rooftop concept, fuses Japanese technique with Mexican Caribbean ingredients.

The St. Regis Spa offers a thermal circuit, hydrotherapy, the Iridium Lounge and 16 treatment suites, including two with private Jacuzzis, with treatments blending international skincare and traditional Mexican ingredients. Guests also have access to an oceanfront infinity pool, a fitness center, a Kids Club and family recreational spaces, alongside the St. Regis rituals of Afternoon Tea and Evening Champagne Sabrage. About 9,687 square feet of event space, including the Astor Ballroom, rounds out the property for weddings and gatherings.
