Rueshaw is officially coming to West Palm Beach. The team behind Rancher's Reserve, Fern, and Steak Shop by Rancher's Reserve has just unveiled the upscale but approachable American steakhouse at 424 Park Place in the Flamingo Park District, built around Akaushi beef that the group raises on its Florida ranch. Rancher's Reserve co-founder, restaurateur, and rancher Nick Scalisi leads the project, developed in collaboration with Welteroth Property Group and Soma Hospitality Ventures. Construction is expected to begin in October 2026, with an opening anticipated for spring 2027.

That beef comes out of Rancher's Reserve's Florida ranching program, which manages genetics, animal husbandry, nutrition, and finishing long before a cut reaches a kitchen. Rueshaw is the dining end of that chain, with the butchery next door at Steak Shop and the cattle raised on two Florida ranches near Okeechobee. The group describes it as a more complete expression of ranch-to-table dining, folding its years of raising cattle, butchery, and restaurant operations into a single dining room. Fern, a West Palm Beach favorite, came first in 2019, followed by the Rancher's Reserve ranch in 2021 and, most recently, Steak Shop in 2025, the butcher and grocer that already sells the same beef in the district.

The menu will be scratch-driven and built to push beef past the standard steakhouse lineup. A nose-to-tail philosophy will bring familiar cuts and lesser-known ones to the table in creative preparations, with Florida seafood and seasonal ingredients rounding out the list. A fully exposed, solid-fuel kitchen will anchor the dining room, so diners will watch the live fire from their seats. Around it, plans call for an indoor-outdoor bar, an expansive wine selection, a cocktail program, and an intimate private dining room, in a room meant to run lively.

The team is positioning the restaurant as a balance of ambitious cooking, attentive hospitality, and the energy of a night out, with the stated aim of making every detail intentional while the experience feels effortless. Scalisi said the group is "really excited" about "the opportunity to bring everything we've learned through our ranch and restaurants together." "Rueshaw gives us the chance to take that work a step further, challenge ourselves creatively, and hopefully build something special for the West Palm Beach community," he said.

Around Rueshaw, the Flamingo Park District has filled in quickly. Emelina, the 16-seat Cuban tasting-menu counter from chefs Osmel González and Camila Salazar with APM Restaurant Group, opened in February 2026 and quickly earned a Michelin star that May, the first Cuban restaurant ever to do so. Niwa, APM's 20-seat Japanese concept pairing Ogawa's Masayuki Komatsu with González, is coming next door with an outdoor tea garden. Steak Shop, at 513 Park Place, and Loot, the district's organic grocer at 521 Park Place, are already on the street, and Pumphouse's sourdough donut shop is planned for the district with an opening targeted for spring 2027. Around them, the district roster already runs through Buccan Sandwich Shop, Table 26, Grato, HIVE Bakery & Cafe, Civil Society Brewing, and Tacos del Cartel, and Döner Haus, Salt & Sugar, Martha's, Rakki Hi-Fi, Pizzeria Luca, and Deia Casa are still to come.

The Flamingo Park District runs along the Dixie Highway Cultural Quarter under the banyans of the historic Flamingo Park neighborhood, curated by Gregory Welteroth of Welteroth Property Group, the same firm developing Rueshaw. It has drawn design showrooms such as SWD Bespoke's first U.S. showroom, the Ro Sham Beaux flagship, and Hästens Palm Beach. Wellness operators include Higher Order, The WELLTHY Method, and The Tox, with Padel X on the way. The group's beef is already on Park Place, behind Steak Shop's counter, and by spring the same cuts will be going over solid fuel in an open kitchen a short walk away.
