The West Palm Beach GreenMarket, named the best in U.S, begins its 29th season October 7th

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket, which has been recognized as the top green market in the U.S. for three consecutive years, is gearing up for its 29th season. Beginning on Saturday, Oct. 7, under the theme "Here We Grow Again," this market continues its legacy in Florida.

Outranking others like the Collingswood Farmers' Market in New Jersey and Chicago's Green City Market, West Palm Beach GreenMarket secured its position based on the USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice poll.

From its inception in 1995 with a mere 13 vendors, the market has experienced significant growth. Last season, it showcased 110 vendors, and this season, visitors can expect 125 stalls to browse through. While the market typically concludes in May, pop-up events were introduced in June, aligning with Clematis by Night. These events, scheduled for Thursdays, garnered such attention that they continued until the end of August.

On its return this Saturday at 9 a.m., the market promises an array of products: fresh produce, seafood, baked goods, and local specialties like honey and coffee. Additionally, attendees can find unique offerings such as artisanal soaps, handcrafted jewelry, and more. Although 15 new stalls have been added, a total of 30 new vendors will be introduced this season, including Azme Taco, Brooklyn Cupcake, CasaPan Healthy Artisan Breads, Casa Truffle, Catherine’s Clean Skincare, Coastal Clay, Coconut Bar, Coley’s Crumbs, Colorado Coffer, Creamed Honey Co., Cultures, Earl’s Slow And Low BBQ, Farmerboxmeal, Fruitful Society Mushrooms, Heavenly Green, Hive Bakery & Café, Holy Smokes Fish Dip, Homegrown Shrimp USA, Kcee Nursery, Lo’s Pie Shop, La Strada, Liquid Gold Honey, Palm Beach Salt Co., Rancher’s Reserve, Rosa Ice Cream, Sugar Coat It Bakery, The Kookie Box, The Native Bird, The Stand by Palmtrees & Popcorn and Whispering Oak Kombucha.

Entertainment is also on the agenda. Catabella Music is scheduled for the opening day, and subsequently, two musical acts will be featured each week.

The GreenMarket will operate every Saturday from Oct. 7 to April 20, with the exception of March 23 due to the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Conveniently located at the city's Great Lawn, 100 N. Clematis St., it offers a welcoming atmosphere for all, including dogs on short leashes.

For those pondering parking options, the city's public garages at Clematis, Banyan, City Center, Sapodilla, and Evernia are available. The Banyan and Evernia garages, being the nearest, have a flat weekend rate of $5. Meanwhile, the other garages offer free parking during market hours. Boating enthusiasts can dock at the city's free public docks, with the Clematis Street Dock being most proximal.

Cyclists can benefit from the free bike valet service, courtesy of the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, located at 105 S. Narcissus Ave. For additional details, prospective visitors can head to DowntownWPB.com/BikeValet.
