In a thrilling twist in the race for the title of the "world's largest Buc-ee's," Knoxville, Tennessee's newly opened store has been momentarily crowned, boasting a sprawling 74,000 square feet and equipped with 120 gas pumps and 720 parking stations.
However, this title is on the brink of being surpassed as Florida prepares to unveil an even more colossal Buc-ee’s in Marion County. Slated for a grand opening in 2025 near Interstate 75, just north of Ocala, this upcoming giant will extend over an impressive 80,000 square feet.
This ambitious expansion within the Sunshine State not only adds to Buc-ee’s presence, alongside the beloved locations in Daytona Beach and St. Augustine, but also aims to redefine the scale of travel centers with over 100 gas pumps.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has highlighted the project's scale, emphasizing its ambition to clinch the title of the "world's largest" with its vast number of pumps and expansive parking.
Since its inception in Texas in 1982, Buc-ee’s has become synonymous with its massive stores, extensive fuel options, pristine restrooms, and a distinctive selection of snacks and brisket sandwiches, spreading its unique brand across several Southern states.
