W Hotels is set to open W Sardinia Poltu Quatu for the spring season, introducing the brand’s latest Mediterranean resort along the island’s northeast coast. Following a soft-opening preview last August, the hotel enters its first full season this spring, with reservations available from May 1, within the marina village of Poltu Quatu.

Positioned between Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia, the setting unfolds within a natural fjord defined by granite formations, dense vegetation, and calm, sheltered water. Views extend across Marina dell’Orso toward the La Maddalena archipelago, placing the hotel within one of the Costa Smeralda’s more protected coastal enclaves.
The hotel includes 154 guestrooms and suites, shaped by a palette drawn from sand, stone, and sea. Interiors incorporate custom ceramic elements, rounded forms, and references to Nuragic culture, alongside works by Sardinian artists placed throughout both guestrooms and public areas. Suites introduce expanded layouts, while a penthouse residence adds a private pool, terrace, and entertaining space.
Architecture and interiors were developed by Studio Meyer Davis in collaboration with DE.Tales, guiding a design approach that reflects the island’s topography, light patterns, and mythology. Arched openings, sculptural niches, and layered spatial transitions reinterpret traditional forms, while integrated artworks—including a sculpture by Nicola Filia—anchor the property within its regional context.
Dining is led by TANIT, a signature Mediterranean restaurant overlooking the marina, alongside the W Lounge and WET Deck, which serve as social hubs for cocktails and informal dining. Within TANIT, Pastry Chef Fabrizio Fiorani introduces the Dolce Room, an enclosed dessert space offering a dedicated patisserie experience.
AWAY Spa and the FIT fitness center anchor the hotel’s wellness offering, alongside activities such as sunrise yoga and guided coastal walks. A beach club, accessible exclusively by boat, offers an additional setting along the coastline. Workshops, artist residencies, and culinary events are also available, connecting guests with local producers and craftspeople.
This property is owned by Castello SGR and operated by Marriott International under the W Hotels brand.
