Alchemy Surf Resort is a 25-acre surf and hospitality destination planned within the Placer One master-planned community in west Placer County, north of Roseville and roughly 30 minutes from Sacramento International Airport. Developed by Inland Surf Company, founded by former pro snowboarder Chris Gallardo and Andrea Gallardo, the resort centers on a 5-acre surf lagoon using Wavegarden Cove technology, plus a Citywave standing-wave pool. Plans call for a 100-key, three-story hotel with a rooftop bar, 22 bungalows with private patios, a 28,390-square-foot surf center, beaches and spas with cold plunges, an outdoor skate plaza and an action sports hub with trampolines, climbing walls and indoor skating. The Placer County Planning Commission approved the project in September 2026, and Inland Surf Company is targeting a 2027 groundbreaking with an 18 to 24 month build.
