About the project

The New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) is a state-led redevelopment of the 50-year-old Aloha Stadium site in Halawa on Oahu, replacing the shuttered venue with a modern multi-purpose stadium and a surrounding mixed-use district. The public-private project is delivered by master developer Aloha Halawa District Partners (AHDP), a consortium led by The Cordish Company with Development Ventures Group, Stanford Carr Development and Ameresco, under a long-term design-build-operate-maintain agreement with the State of Hawaii. The centerpiece is a roughly 31,000-seat stadium, designed to expand by about 10,000 additional seats, surrounded by restaurants, shops and approximately 4,500 residential units across the roughly 98-acre site. The design team includes Populous, SB Architects, Henning Larsen and WCIT Architects, with Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company and AECOM Hunt leading construction.
