AlWadi is the flagship project of ARDARA, the Public Investment Fund's development company for the Aseer region, planned as Aseer's first fully integrated lifestyle community in the cool highlands around Abha. Phase one is planned around a waterfront setting with a five-star Waldorf Astoria of 180 rooms, under a letter of intent with Hilton, and a four-star hotel of 245 rooms, alongside luxury branded apartments and villas, 62 high-end residences, about 4,500 square metres of retail, and walking and cycling paths with low-impact mobility. Renderings show a stepped cluster of towers and terraced buildings rising beside a lake against forested mountain slopes, with stone villas set into gardens below. Later phases are planned with Sumou Holding.
