Baoase Curacao

Baoase Curacao sits on a private stretch of sand on the southern coast of Willemstad, a boutique resort the van der Valk family has run since it opened, built around hand-carved Balinese stone, lagoon pools and villas that step straight into the water. The property is expanding by roughly 60 percent, adding 14 suites with private plunge pools and swim-up access to bring the total from 23 accommodations to 37, alongside a new resort pool and an additional on-site restaurant. The new rooms carry contemporary design and updated technology while holding the low-rise, heavily planted, deliberately private character the resort built its reputation on. The property took its current name in a rebrand that swapped a generic luxury descriptor for the island itself.
