Official WebsiteMuseo Plaza 2, Bilbao. Open since October 2026.
Designed by Norman Foster with local architect Luis Maria Uriarte, Agravitas grows the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao by about 60 percent. A long steel and glass volume rises above the existing museum on V-shaped supports, holding a roughly 1,500-square-meter column-free gallery wrapped by a 700-square-meter sculpture terrace, while a new Atrio Arriaga with a 6-meter oculus links the 1945 building, the 1970s extension and the new entrance. The museum reopened on October 5, 2026 after four years of works, with public access from October 6.
