Black Desert Resort (Expansion)

The Black Desert Resort expansion extends a 600-acre desert-modern luxury golf resort in Ivins, Utah, set against the black lava rock at the edge of Snow Canyon State Park in the Greater Zion region of the state's southwest. Master-planned by Hart Howerton, the build-out grows the resort toward roughly 850 rooms and suites and layers in a full-service spa, multiple new restaurant concepts, a 40,000-square-foot meeting and event center, a boutique retail village, a water park, an outdoor amphitheater and a 3,000-seat concert hall, alongside 21 pickleball courts and custom-build residential programs on the surrounding benchland. The resort is built around a PGA Tour host course by Tom Weiskopf, and the expansion also encompasses a land partnership with the Shivwits Band of Paiutes across roughly 1,250 adjacent acres, positioning Black Desert as the anchor of southwestern Utah's emergence as a year-round golf, wellness and live-entertainment destination near Zion National Park and St. George.
