About the project

Blackwells Corner is a walkable, mixed-use town center rising in downtown Hanahan, South Carolina. Spanning roughly 40,000 square feet across six new buildings anchored by the existing TideLine Aquatics storefront, the pedestrian-friendly development blends curated dining, retail, fitness studios, salons, and office space around a central event lawn and covered outdoor dining areas built for year-round community programming. Led by developer Chuck Woodward with partners Michael Sivel and Jennifer Rinella, and designed by Bello Garris Architects with land planning by SeamonWhiteside and construction by Hill Construction, Blackwells Corner carries forward the legacy of the family-owned Blackwells Hardware that served Hanahan for more than 75 years, giving the city its first true town center.
