Busan Lotte Town Tower is a 340-metre mixed-use supertall rising on the Gwangbok waterfront in Jung-gu, the historic downtown core of Busan, South Korea. Developed by Lotte Shopping on a long-held city-centre site, the tower carries 67 floors above grade over seven basement levels and will rank among the tallest buildings in the country. The scheme was originally drawn by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as a 107-storey, 510-metre spire, then re-engineered downward into a denser, broader tower after wind-load studies and a decision by Lotte to concentrate more programme into fewer floors. The building stacks a retail and department-store podium, offices, a hotel and a public observation deck, with entertainment space and a large underground car park below. It anchors Lotte Town, the group's retail and leisure quarter beside Jagalchi Market and Nampo-dong, and the waterfront siting gives the upper floors panoramic views across Busan Harbour and the South Sea.
