Carlisle Bay Antigua

Carlisle Bay sits on the south coast of Antigua at Old Road in Saint Mary, an all-suite resort set between the rainforest of the Fig Tree Drive hills and a dark-sand beach on the Caribbean Sea. The property is working through a phased, multimillion-dollar renovation of its accommodations led by London-based designer Miminat Shodeinde of Miminat Designs, whose first phase reworked the Ocean, Bay and Garden Suites. Later phases cover the resort's largest accommodations, the three-bedroom Carlisle Suites, each renamed for an Antiguan landmark, and the two-bedroom beachfront suites, which gain second bathrooms aimed at multigenerational travel. The design palette draws on Antiguan sand, sea and sky, using flowing natural fabrics and commissioned work from local artists.
