Centennial Yards is a $5 billion, 50-acre urban district taking shape on the Gulch, the sunken web of rail lines and parking decks that separated downtown Atlanta from Castleberry Hill for generations. Led by CIM Group through the Centennial Yards Company, the master plan knits the site back into the street grid with up to 12 million square feet of residential, hotel, office, retail and entertainment space built out in phases. Its centerpiece is a roughly 470,000-square-foot entertainment district assembling restaurants, bars and live venues around a new pedestrian spine, with Cosm's immersive shared-reality venue and a roster of Atlanta food names anchoring the ground floors. Loft-style apartment buildings, a boutique hotel and reworked historic viaducts sit alongside new public plazas and the pedestrianized Steele Bridge, and the district's position between Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena and Centennial Olympic Park makes it the connective tissue of downtown's sports and convention core.
