DSRT Surf is a 17.7-acre surf and resort destination set between the two championship courses of Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, in California's Coachella Valley. Its centerpiece is a 5.5-acre Wavegarden Cove lagoon, the largest in North America, engineered to throw everything from beginner rollers to overhead barrels across multiple zones simultaneously, alongside a separate leisure pool. Developer Beach Street is building the property out in phases, with the lagoon, surf center, restaurants, bars and retail arriving ahead of a 139-key barefoot-luxury hotel and 57 private resort villas. The programming extends past surfing into yoga lawns, pickleball courts and desert-modern dining pavilions. The lagoon is designed as a net-zero water user through the project's Turf for Surf program, which converted 30 acres of adjacent golf turf to drought-tolerant native landscaping, saving more water annually than the lagoon consumes.
