Eco-Floating Hotel Qatar

The Eco-Floating Hotel is a zero-waste, self-powering hotel concept for Doha, Qatar, by Istanbul-based Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio (HAADS). The circular, vortex-inspired structure is designed to rotate a full turn every 24 hours, generating its own electricity through 55 turbine modules while holding position with a dynamic-positioning system. Its 152 balconied rooms wrap indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, sauna, gym, and mini-golf, with rainwater harvesting and food-waste recycling built in, and its mobile design allows relocation to other coastlines.
