Fairmont New Orleans occupies 17 stories of the former Bank of New Orleans building at 1010 Common Street, a 31-story Skidmore, Owings & Merrill tower from 1970 in the Central Business District, steps from the French Quarter, with 250 hotel keys, set to finish in November 2026.
Developed by Kailas Companies as part of a mixed-use conversion of the tower, the hotel holds 250 rooms and suites with interiors by Rockwell Group and architecture by New Orleans firm AQ Studios. Dining is led by Chef Emeril Lagasse and his team, with Delmonico Steakhouse in the lobby, The Café by Emeril, the Third Measure rooftop bar and the Bleu Perdu poolside lounge beside a rooftop pool. A 10,000-square-foot spa, Fairmont Gold on floors 29 and 30, and more than 19,000 square feet of event space, including a ballroom that keeps the bank's original cypress ceiling, round it out. It is Fairmont's 19th property in the United States.
