Miami-based Gencom is carrying out a redevelopment of more than $550 million, the largest hotel investment in Bermuda's history, rebuilding the property as a 593-key Fairmont flagship operated by Accor. The program covers redesigned guestrooms and suites, reimagined dining, and a new beachfront club anchored by an oceanfront infinity pool, private cabanas, an event lawn, and an all-day restaurant on the sand. A Special Development Order also entitles a residential and tourist-accommodation component on the wider site, extending the resort beyond the hotel itself.
