About the project

Foro Futeca is Central America's first purpose-built, fully enclosed indoor sports and entertainment arena, rising on the former Estadio del Ejercito site in Guatemala City's Zona 5. Designed by HKS Architects, the firm behind SoFi Stadium and AT&T Stadium, in collaboration with local studio AS Arquitectura for developer Futeca Corporacion, the arena seats 21,000 for sporting events and expands to 35,000 for concerts. It anchors the larger Distrito Futeca masterplan, which pairs the venue with the Galeria Futeca shopping center and an international hotel across a 380,000-square-meter redevelopment.
