Four Seasons Hotel Rio de Janeiro marks the brand's return to Brazil and its first property in Rio, taking over the landmark Marina Palace on Avenida Delfim Moreira, the tallest building on the Leblon beachfront. Developed with Catuaí Asset, the project is a complete reimagining of the existing tower rather than a ground-up build, retaining elements of the structure's mid-century architectural character while rebuilding the interiors to Four Seasons standard. The roughly 120 rooms and suites are scaled for an intimate house rather than a large resort, with the majority oriented toward the Atlantic and the Dois Irmãos peaks that close the bay. Plans call for multiple restaurants, a rooftop bar and pool taking in the full sweep of Leblon and Ipanema, a spa, and direct beach programming, in one of Latin America's most sought-after residential districts and roughly half an hour from Galeão International Airport.
