Kampala Marriott Hotel

Kampala Marriott Hotel opened in the Nsambya district of Uganda's capital as the first property in the country to carry Marriott International's flagship Marriott Hotels brand, and it arrived paired with the first Marriott Executive Apartments in Uganda. The development is built as two towers joined by a skybridge. The hotel side holds 181 rooms and suites topped by a Presidential Suite, while the residential side holds 96 fully serviced apartments running from studios up to a three-bedroom penthouse, each with separate living, dining and sleeping areas, an equipped kitchen and a dedicated work space. Guests move between six restaurants and bars, the Saray Spa with steam and sauna rooms, a fitness centre and a heated outdoor pool. The property also carries roughly 13,900 square feet of event space across six venues, anchored by the Kampala Grand Ballroom, which seats 1,000. The project was built by Ugandan retail entrepreneur Ponsiano Ngabirano through his Capital Shoppers group, with Uganda's National Social Security Fund holding a 30 percent stake, and it lifts Marriott International's Uganda portfolio to seven properties across five brands.
