Kauanoe o Kōloa Resort Condominiums

Kauanoe o Kōloa Resort Condominiums is a 279-residence resort condominium community on a 25-acre parcel at 5425 Pau A Laka Street in Kōloa, on the Poʻipū coast of Kauai's south shore. Developed by Meridian Pacific with architecture by WATG, the $313 million project spreads two-, three- and four-bedroom residences across a low-rise plan laid along the fairways of the Kiahuna Golf Club, roughly a mile from Poʻipū Beach and within walking distance of the Poipu Village Shops and the Kukui'ula Village shops and restaurants. More than a million square feet of built area is planned at full completion, with amenities that include two pools and spas, a clubhouse with a restaurant and fitness center, a poolside pavilion and barbecue areas. The development is entitled and permitted for resort condominium use, allowing owners to place residences in a rental program, and it has drawn sustained opposition from Native Hawaiian community groups and the organizations Friends of Māhāʻulepū and Save Kōloa over its stormwater drainage plan, a dispute that reached the Hawaii Supreme Court.
