Mandarin Oriental Esencia, Puerto Rico is the brand's debut on the island, a luxury resort and residences slated for 2028 on Boquerón Bay in Cabo Rojo. The Residences feature 83 exclusive villas and approximately 200 private branded residences across a six-story boutique building. The resort itself adds 106 guest rooms and suites, some with private gardens, terraces, or plunge pools. Designed by Studio MK27 with master planning by Álvarez Díaz & Villalón and EDSA, the project sits within Esencia — a 2,000-acre cosmopolitan coastal community by Reuben Brothers and Three Rules Capital with three miles of beaches. Amenities include five distinctive dining venues, a beach club, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, an 18-hole Rees Jones-designed golf course, a children's club, and an outdoor adventure center.
