Miramar Lake Club

Miramar Lake Club is a private golf and social club taking shape behind the gates of the Lake Sherwood community near Thousand Oaks, California, at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains. Developer Rick Caruso, the retail visionary behind The Grove and Palisades Village, acquired the former Sherwood Lake Club and is reimagining it as a members' retreat centered on an 18-hole par-3 golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, one of only two such Nicklaus layouts in existence. An 18,000-square-foot clubhouse anchors the property, set to gain an Italian-inspired restaurant and bar, a refreshed gym, and a relocated resort-style pool that opens up the grounds, alongside tennis courts, wellness facilities, and a calendar of social programming. Caruso frames the club as a more welcoming, experience-driven vision of golf, with membership tied to his luxury residences and extended to members of his Rosewood Miramar Beach club in Montecito.
