Ofland Smoky Mountains

Ofland Smoky Mountains is a 75-cabin outdoor hotel rising on 27.6 acres in Townsend, Tennessee, the quiet western gateway to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and roughly five minutes from the Cades Cove entrance. It is the second property from Ofland Hotels, the Las Vegas based outdoor hospitality group, and at more than $25 million it is the largest investment in the company's history. The site holds 71 standard cabins and four ADA-accessible cabins, each a 345-square-foot studio with a queen bed, a queen sofa bed, a kitchenette, an en-suite bathroom and a private open-air shower, wrapped by a deck with rocking chairs, a wood-burning campfire ring with a grill and a picnic table. The cabins are built by Tennessee manufacturer Wind River Built. A central lodge carries the front desk, a general store and Southern-inspired food service, and the grounds add a heated pool and hot tub, fire pits and lounge seating, and an outdoor drive-in movie theater seating about 150. Boundary Works is the architect, with KDW managing construction and Tyson and Associates as local site builder. The property is expected to bring roughly 30 permanent jobs to Townsend.
