ONE HANAZONO VILLAS sits on the Hanazono side of Niseko in Kutchan, Hokkaido, the Japanese ski region known for the powder that falls on Mount Annupuri and the cone of Mount Yotei rising across the valley. Developer Pacific Century Premium Developments (PCPD) is building 13 privately owned, individually separated villas of roughly 7,500 to 10,400 square feet, each with four to six ensuite bedrooms, expansive living and dining space, a private driveway and an enclosed garden, with most framing panoramic views of Mount Yotei. Kengo Kuma leads the architecture and Andre Fu of AFSO handles the interiors, pairing Japanese timber craft with restrained hotel design. Owners share a private clubhouse with ski-in, ski-out access to the Hanazono runs and a dedicated apres-ski lounge, and the villas are managed and serviced by the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono team next door, making them the first Park Hyatt branded villas in Japan. Two furnished show villas lead the first phase of the collection.
