Orange Hill Course, Kiawah Island Club

Orange Hill is the Kiawah Island Club's private golf-and-residential community set on a 933-acre tract of historic Johns Island, just inland from Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Developed by South Street Partners through its Kiawah Partners master-development arm, the community centers on an 18-hole championship course and a companion short course designed by acclaimed golf architect Beau Welling across roughly 300 acres, with traditional Old World green complexes, a double-sided practice range and a golf performance center that will be the Club's largest practice facility. Beyond the golf, Orange Hill introduces 120 homesites along with cottages, a fishing dock, farm plots and a new members' clubhouse, extending Kiawah Island Club amenities beyond the barrier island for the first time. Set between River Road and Bohicket Road with its main entrance on River Road, the Charleston County approved plan preserves roughly 365 acres as natural conservation land, protects the large majority of the tract's grand live oaks and funds community services including Sea Islands Habitat for Humanity on Johns Island.
