About the project

Set deep in Pope Valley north of Calistoga, Six Senses Napa Valley reanimates the 1873 Aetna Springs resort — the oldest continuously operating resort in California and a Napa County Threatened Treasure — across a 3,000-acre estate. Olson Kundig leads the architectural restoration of nine historic buildings, with new pavilions, ten tented suites, 16 branded residences (interiors by 1508 London) and a wellness village around restored thermal mineral springs that include indoor and outdoor bathing, mud pools and herb-and-essential-oil therapies. Dining includes a communal-table Dining Hall and The Well — an open-air space celebrating the property's history with mineral-water bottling and distilling. Developer team: Weller Development Partners and Mohari Hospitality, operated by Six Senses (IHG Hotels & Resorts). Targeting 2026 opening.
